Garden Tidbits

Laura shows how large our zucchini plant is. The garden is really responding to having hay tilled into it two years in a row. Just wait till next year! In the upper-left corner is a potato plant, over 2 feet tall, the largest potato plant I've ever grown. Whether or not this translates into potatoes remains to be seen.

Laura shows how big a zucchini leaf is.

The tomato vines are almost to the tops of their cages -- 5 feet tall. This is typical for this time of year. They grow up the inside of their cages, through and around the hail protection wire on top, and then down the outside back to the ground.
